I found yoga at age 40. After years of running and high impact activities, my body felt constantly sore and fatigued. At the recommendation of my friend, Lisa Jamison, I tried Yin Yoga. The difference I felt the day after class was dramatic. I began attending class regularly and realized that the impact of yoga practice was not limited to physical improvements as I noticed that my mind and spirit was becoming clearer and stronger.
My desire is to share yoga with students so they can dive inward and connect with their limitless potential- to be better, and feel better. My classes aim to cultivate a balance of physically challenging sequences and cooling postures. I set a a light-hearted and playful energy in class that encourages my students to have fun and embody the flow.
I teach & practice Yin and Yang Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.
I am a 1,000 hr+, Level II Yin Yang Yoga registered teacher through Yin Yoga founder, Master Paulie Zink's Yin Yoga Institute. I continue to study directly with Master Zink and serve as his assistant. I completed my 200-hour Flow teacher training certificate through evolation yoga. I am also a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, (FRCms,) NASM Certified Personal Trainer, (CPT) Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) Senior Fitness Specialist (SFS) and Behavior Change Specialist (BCS).
